BEGINNING QUILTING - Make your first quilt top with this class. Many patterns are available to choose from or I can help you select your own. You will learn to read a pattern, the importance of measuring and pressing, using a rotary cutter for accuracy and block assembly. $65.00

INTERMEDIATE QUILTING - This class is customized for each students skill level. Students can either begin a more challenging quilt with the aid of instruction or troubleshoot an existing quilt top that they are having problems with. $65.00

T-SHIRT QUILT - What do you do with all those special shirts from concerts, sporting events and team jersey's? Enjoy and display all of them everyday in a one of a kind T-Shirt quilt. This makes a unique gift for graduation, going off to college, retirement, Father's Day or a special birthday.

JOURNAL QUILTS - Travel, milestones, life changes are all reasons to start your own quilt journal. Express your life's events in three dementional fabric pages enhanced with personal momentos, and other memorabelia. Items aquired through travel such as sea shells, family heirlooms such as hankies, beads and other trinkets are all fabulous embellishments. Documenting your thoughts and emotions, whether joyous or tragic is a wonderful legacy to pass onto future generations.

BOXES, BAGS AND BOWLS, OH MY - Isn't the presentation just as important as the contents? You spent a lot of time finding the perfect gift, creating those special cookies and your packaging should reflect that. Beautiful fabrics beat store bought paper any day so why not find a glorious fabric and give your gift the wrapping it deserves!

INVITATIONS AND SALUTATIONS - Create little works of art to give each of your guests. Custom wedding invitations, announcements, thank you notes, post cards or greeting cards are treasures the the recipient will show off and love for years to come. Most of us hang onto our cards for a week or so and then toss them in the garbage. Wouldn't it be nice to know that wasn't going to be the case with these easy to make little greetings.

FABRIC DYING 101 - Hand dyed fabrics are a way to truly make your project one of a kind. Perhaps you just need that special shade that you have looked high and low for but just can't seem to find. This class will intoduce you to a variety of methods for dying your own cottons with bold or subtle, bright or mottled, but always beautiful results.

SPECIALTY FABRIC DYING - Luxurious silks and velvets are beautifully enhanced with the modern and safe dying conveniences we have today. Learn a variety of techniques including complete and partial water immersion, fabric painting, spritzing and discharging on varied kinds and weights of materials.

NATURAL DYED FABRICS - This class offers many methods for dying your fabrics using only what nature has to offer. However, unlike our ancestors who had to dig for bugs or clay and hunt for berries all day just to dye a small swatch we can select from the bountiful isles of our grocer's shelves and in many cases what you already have right in your own cubbard! Find out how low cost natural products can yeild beautiful results with little mess and little fuss.

BATIK RESIST - Batik is an ancient Japanese process of applying hot wax to fabric. Fabric is then dyed, causing the areas that are covered by wax to resist the dye while the exposed areas receive the marvelous color. The process continues by adding another layer of wax and another layer of dye until the piece reaches the desired effect. When the wax is removed the mystery is revealed and a beautiful, one of a kind piece of fabric is yours to quilt, sew, frame, or drape.
